Darren Thompson is a Public Ally serving as a Community Development Specialist for Urban Strategies. Darren is Ojibwe from the Lac du Flambeau Indian Reservation in Northern Wisconsin. He brings years of direct experience in working with American Indian communities, organizations, and governments in non-profit work, government collaboration, as an independent consultant, and as a music artist.

His passion for his community has served as a foundation to motivate him in all endeavors of his life. The variety of capacities he has worked in has exposed him to a rich diversity of people, organizations, and institutions that confirm the importance of diversity, cultural preservation, and changing times. His experience with diversity and cultural competence serves as a great asset for many of Urban Strategies’ projects.
