New to the Urban
Strategies team on August 1, 2010, is Kathryn Berger, JD. Kathryn
previously served as a Senior Program Officer with Local Initiatives
Support Corporation (LISC) in Milwaukee for almost ten years. In that
capacity, Kathryn established the LISC AmeriCorps Program, administered
over $3 million in federal grants, and worked with scores of nonprofit
groups in increasing their capacity for community development projects
in housing as well as commercial development.
Prior to LISC,
Kathryn administered loan and grant programs and provided technical
assistance to small businesses in targeted populations to create
business plans and develop marketing strategies for the Wisconsin
Department of Development (now Commerce). At Urban Strategies, Kathryn
will manage selected community development efforts and support social
enterprise projects. |
